Old Adams Gulch Road Bridges Blaine County, Idaho 2022

About the Trail

Beginning in 2021, Titus Trails partnered with the National Forest Foundation and Higher Ground to support the Ketchum Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest in improving adaptive access within Adams Gulch. The project focused on enhancing the Forbidden Fruit Trail to better serve adaptive mountain bikers, replacing aging bridges along Adams Gulch Trail, and upgrading the existing trailhead.

In fall 2021, Titus Trails completed extensive maintenance on Forbidden Fruit and constructed a one-mile trail extension designed specifically for adaptive mountain bike use. The extension provides a consistent, accessible riding experience while also offering an engaging alternate route from Eve’s for all riders.

Parking lot improvements were completed in fall 2022, followed by bridge construction beginning later that season. Remaining bridge installations were completed in spring 2023, improving durability, safety, and long-term access throughout the corridor.
